In 1997, Moogie Math software was originally created to help 11^th and 12^th grade students prepare for the Ohio 9^th Grade Math Proficiency Test. To aid teachers in identifying each student's skills and strengths in the various objectives and strands, a diagnostic score is created for each student by the software. The question before us is, do these scores reliably predict each student's actual ability and allow the teacher to predict how well a student will perform on the state test.
