>>>> Learning Objectives <<<<

Teachers across the US agree that our narrowly-defined learning objectives/outcomes thoroughly cover the topics that today's 4th, 6th, 8th, and 10th grade students need to know. Although some states administer tests during the "odd" years, you will find Moogie extremely helpful for students in 5th, 7th, 9th, and 11th-12th grade who need extra help to get up to speed. Moogie Math was originally written for 11th and 12th graders who needed extra help passing the Ohio 9th Grade Proficiency Test.

In the 4th grade database, Moogie on the Net covers the following units (also known as strands or topics).
Algebra
Data Analysis
Geometry
Measurement
Numbers and Relations
Patterns and Functions
Problem Solving
Rounding and Estimating

Literally millions of questions are available using the 1,069 question templates. The Learning Outcomes are broken into 99 objectives by Moogie on the Net, all aligned with NCTM standards.

Most objectives include questions of both "Knowledge/Basic Skills" and "Understanding/Problem Solving" levels. However, it was not always possible (or logical) to do this with each objective. The questions in the "Patterns and Functions" and "Problem Solving" units are not divided into separate levels. They are all essentially of the type "Understanding/ Problem Solving"

"Model" implies creating a number sentence where the unknown is isolated on one side of the equal sign. Example: 2 + 15 = n

"Model/Translate" implies creating a number sentence where the unknown may or may not be isolated on one side of the equal sign. Examples: 2 + 15 = n or 10 x n = 50

The 4th Grade Learning Objectives are:
